Alligator Head Foundation
The Alligator Head Foundation works in Port Antonio, Jamaica “for fish filled seas, abundant reefs and thriving communities.” They engage in monitoring, restoration, and protection programs focused on threatened Diadema sp. sea urchins and Staghorn Coral (Acropora cervicornis). In 2019, Max from Coral Growth Solutions was contracted to design and install multiple closed loop aquaculture systems, as well as a 300 gallon display aquarium to educate visitors. This provides local and visiting scientists with a living laboratory space to conduct experiments and observe organisms up close.

Propagation Tubs
This system of fiberglass coral aquaculture raceways installed with a protein skimmer, calcium reactor, water chiller and LED lighting efficiently provides high surface area to grow corals in climate controlled conditions.
Two systems of interconnected, yet isolatable 40 gallon aquariums provide local scientists with a laboratory specifically designed to handle marine experiments.
